I agree they're not quite ready to compete for the cup, but I don't want JVR traded. Leafs still aren't playing as well as they did at the end of last season, if they get to that level there's a chance they can get to the second or maybe even 3rd round.
There's nothing they can get for JVR that will benefit them this season more than JVR would, so keep him and get as far as you can.
They can trade his rights in the off season to NJ for a measly return |
